Scott sent this pic of Polaris in Columbus to show the land around that exit…
Hey Scott, like you I’d be happy with ANY IKEA we could score for the state, no matter were it goes.
I think we’ll have an answer soon. I have this on very good authority that Ohio has some very good news coming “very soon”. I’m still firmly sticking by the West Chester leads as the location of first Ohio IKEA. My source was very specific on that. Very.
I think we’re going to have good news in July… and that’s just a guess, so cross your fingers.

I am from Columbus, and Polaris Parkway sounds nice, but everything is built around that area, and no one company has ever considered the South end of Columbus for any retail whatsoever. I think that Ikea should look into that area of Columbus. It is close to Cincy, and towns down there, including Circleville and Portsmith, Ohio.
I actually work in the red roofed building to the left of your largest area in question. While I would love to see IKEA move in next door, I know COSTCO is already slated to move in. The remaining areas they are looking to develop as the upper class part of Polaris. Doesn’t seem like that leaves much room for IKEA. I hope that I am wrong though, because that would put IKEA within walking distance.
